This case hits closest to home for me over any of the other's I covered with this account. But quite honestly I think the main ones still investigating this are the distraught family, and I had believed they would have had answers by now. I have waited the 6 months to be able to post this case to my favorite sub and I understand why that particular rule is in place. I now have the area obstructed with some cleaners and random objects so hopefully he doesn't go near it again. I scooped him up and put him in front of his litter box but he didn't feel the need to go. I put the drawer back in the area and left it open with nothing inside and this morning I watched him saunter in, climb into the drawer and immediately started to squatting and about to eliminate again with out really sniffing around. (That's turned into a whole separate mess). So I went out and bought some finer litter. I thought maybe he doesn't like the litter box. If anyone has recommendations for a enzymatic detergent I can soak a moderate amount of garments in I would appreciate that.Īfter cleaning it the next day, I put the drawer off to the side and cat came and peed in the area again. I cleaned the drawer, the area, and pulled up the vinyl flooring and cleaned that too with Nature's Miracle enzyme cleaner.Īll the garments got an oxyclean soak and been stowed away. I'm not sure for how long since the socks and garments absorbed much of the scent and I didn't clue in for a few days, but enough to make a habit of it. ![]() So my Cat has been reliving itself in my pullout drawer under my bed. I took him to the vet a week earlier and got a clean bill of health. I read the FAQ on this but still seeking some advice.
